Tyler Fontan is a performance-based physical therapist specializing in injury rehabilitation while optimizing athletic development and performance. As a former soccer player, he understands the physical demands of high-level competition and the importance of a well-rounded, individualized approach to injury recovery. His passion for strength and conditioning is seamlessly integrated into his treatment approach, helping clients not only regain function but also enhance their overall fitness— all while minimizing downtime and maximizing confidence in their return to doing what they love.
Tyler earned his B.S. in Business Administration & Marketing from Ramapo College and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Marist University. During his doctoral training, he completed clinical rotations specializing in sports medicine with Resilient Performance Physical Therapy and EXOS. These experiences provided him the opportunity to work directly with top-ranked athletes from PGA, MLS, NCAA, CFL, and NFL, as well as active-duty military personnel and FBI agents.
With a strong foundation in biomechanics and movement science, manual therapy, and strength and conditioning, Tyler tailors each rehabilitation program to meet the specific needs of the individual. His goal is to facilitate a smooth transition from rehab to peak performance, ensuring a safe and efficient return to sport while reducing the risk of re-injury.
