Improving mobility or the ability to access and control joint position is crucial for athletic performance, health, and longevity. Mobility is effectively our movement alphabet. Having sufficient movement options allows us to better physically communicate, spares the same tissues from undergoing unnecessary repetitive stress, and may improve technical performance in sport. When mobility is limited, technique may be constrained because joints are not capable of getting into the positions necessary to do things like hit a ball harder, throw further, squat deeper, run faster, or effortlessly navigate the environment. No amount of sport coaching will improve technique if a joint is not capable of getting into the right positions. As physical therapists with athletic backgrounds, we utilize a combination of exercise and manual therapy to help you move with freedom and ease, no matter your goals. Our system is comprehensive, personalized, and seeks to integrate the most effective aspects of various movement disciplines, including yoga, martial arts, and gymnastics.
