Jordan Velez is a physical therapist and athletic trainer who utilizes a holistic and evidence-based approach to helping people accomplish their goals. He looks at the entire human system, considering multiple rehabilitation principles and wellness components to treat.
His interest in the intricacies and complexity of human movement began when he became a certified Yoga instructor prior to becoming a certified Athletic Trainer. Jordan has worked with a wide variety of athletes including rugby, wrestling, football, baseball, hockey, lacrosse, and many more.
Jordan earned his B.S. in Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University, M.S. in Sports Management from Florida State University, and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. Jordan has completed internships with the New England Patriots, Resilient Performance Physical Therapy, and Rehab 2 Perform in Maryland.
Prior to joining Resilient, Jordan served as an Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist for the Cleveland Browns. With 10+ years of wrestling experience, Jordan continues his athletic endeavors through Rugby and BJJ. He also continues to partake in and teach Yoga. He hopes to exemplify the resilience and adaptability of the human body, and show that it is possible to enjoy multiple, different sports and physical activities.
